General Emissions Inventory Information

These resources provide the latest available guidance on developing emissions inventories to meet State Implementation Plan (SIP) requirements.  Emissions inventory SIPs are required by National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) implementation rules and the Clean Air Act. These resources are intended for use by State, Local, and Tribal air agencies and the EPA regional offices.

Emissions Inventory Conferences are held biannually, and focus on scientific, technical, and policy aspects of emissions inventories. They generally include a one day training session, then three days of technical sessions and many opportunities to collaborate with others in the air emissions field across the nation and even internationally.

Emissions inventory training is available on the NEI Sharepoint site (restricted to  Inventory Developers) as well as AirKnowledge.
