  • AirNow Fire and Smoke Map

    The AirNow Fire and Smoke Map, which EPA runs in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, provides information that you can use to help protect your health from wildfire smoke. Use the map to see current particle pollution information for your location, fire and smoke locations, Smoke Forecast Outlooks, and to learn what actions you can take to reduce the amount of smoke you breathe in.

    The U.S. Air Quality Index is EPA's index for reporting air quality. Every day the AQI tells you how clean or polluted your outdoor air is, along with associated health effects that may be of concern.
