2024 Delaware River Climate Practitioners Workshop

Event is free and open to the public. - Delaware River Climate Practitioners Workshop - Hosted by the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 3 - October 28, 2024, 10am-4pm -  The Discovery Center 3401 Reservior Dr. Philadelphia, PA 10121 -  Calling state, local, and community leaders!  Join us for an opportunity to gain and exchange practical information on how to build and execute climate adaptation projects that reduce exposure to climate impacts.,

The purpose behind this event is to provide Delaware River Basin tribal, state and local climate implementors and influencers with practical information about how to build and execute climate adaptation projects that reduce exposure to climate impacts, while strengthening networks of practitioners to address climate impacts at the watershed scale.

The agenda is organized by the 3 top climate impacts facing the Delaware River Basin: increasing temperatures, changes in precipitation patterns, and sea-level rise. Presenters will provide real world examples of planned or implemented climate adaptation projects representing scales that are urban, suburban and rural.

The goals of the event are:

  1. To give tribal, state and local leaders the information needed to execute climate adaptation projects and
