At the heart of E-Enterprise is collaborative leadership: a commitment by our federal, state, and tribal partners to work together using a transformative model of shared governance. The E-Enterprise governance structure is comprised of several governing bodies. E-Enterprise Leadership Council representatives, Management Board and IOT members are listed on the E-Enterprise website.

Leadership and Oversight

E-Enterprise is directed by the E-Enterprise Leadership Council (EELC) – a governing board of ten senior EPA executives, ten state commissioners, and ten tribal environmental leaders that provide both strategic and project-specific direction for E-Enterprise.

Management and Operations

Management and staff from EPA, states, and tribes environmental programs help manage the projects and activities under E-Enterprise and the Exchange Network through a Management Board (MB) and Interoperability and Operations Team (IOT).    The Management Board helps implement policy decision made by the EELC, identify issues and agenda items EELC discussions, and identifies E-Enterprise project recommendations and priorities.  The IOT’s specific focus is to support and guide design, interoperability, and operation of all technical aspects of E-Enterprise and Exchange Network. This includes shared services, standards, architecture, and infrastructure.
