Health Research Grants
EPA provides health-related grants and funding to the nation's leading researchers to improve the scientific basis for decisions on heath and environmental issues, many of which are directly related to exploring environmental justice concerns.
Tribal Environmental Health Research
EPA grants fund Tribal Environmental Health Research to advance the understanding of the health effects of environmental contaminants on tribal populations. Grants have been awarded to support a diversity of research areas that explore topics such as environmental risks, cumulative impacts of chemical exposure, and how global climate change are affecting tribes.
Centers of Excellence on Environmental Health Disparities Research
The Centers of Excellence on Environmental Health Disparities Research program was a collaborative effort supported by the EPA, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities that encourages basic, biological, clinical, epidemiological, behavioral, and/or social scientific investigations of disease conditions that are known to be a significant burden in low socioeconomic and health disparate populations.
