Read the EJ 2020 Action Agenda , EPA’s strategic plan for advancing environmental justice from the years 2016-2020 here.

EJ 2020 is a cross-agency endeavor that builds on and expands the environmental justice work happening at EPA. EJ 2020 Action Agenda Factsheet
To help communicate with the public about EJ 2020, we have created a one page factsheet and have translated it into four additional languages – Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Vietnamese. The factsheet highlights the vision, goals, key areas, lead EPA offices and anticipated results of EJ 2020. It also includes general information about stakeholder outreach efforts, implementation and annual reporting for EJ 2020.

This section defines and clarifies some of the terms used in the EJ 2020 document.

EJ IWG Promising Practices for EJ Methodologies in NEPA Reviews
This is a compilation of methodologies gleaned from current agency practices. These practices were identified by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Committee concerning the interface of environmental justice considerations through NEPA processes. 

Environmental Justice Research Roadmap
The Environmental Justice Research Roadmap describes the interface between environmental justice and science and outlines opportunities that exist in the link between environmental equity and technology.

Technical Guidance for Assessing Environmental Justice in Regulatory Analysis
This guidance is designed to help EPA analysts evaluate potential environmental justice (EJ) concerns associated with EPA regulatory actions.

The Community-Focused Exposure and Risk Screening Tool (C-FERST)
C-FERST links to and builds upon other community-focused guidance and tools to help identify human exposures and potential risks for a community and help identify issues for further assessment and actions that are available to improve public health.

EJSCREEN: Environmental Justice Screening and Mapping Tool
EJSCREEN is an environmental justice mapping and screening tool that provides EPA with a nationally consistent dataset and approach for combining environmental and demographic indicators.

EnviroAtlas
EnviroAtlas allows analysis of "what if?" scenarios and provides national to local scale data and analysis of the distribution of:

  • ecosystem services
  • benefits
  • stressors
  • drivers of change

The Tribal-Focused Environmental Risk and Sustainability Tool (T-FERST)
In Tribal-FERST, users are able to follow step-by-step guidance for:

  • identifying priority issues
  • compiling data
