In accordance with the Consent Decree and the Final Permit, EPA has the approval authority over Housatonic Rest of River Permit submittals, after reasonable opportunity for review and comment by Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP). Although there is no formal public comment period on Rest of River Permit submittals, EPA has committed to making Permit submittals available to the public and other stakeholders prior to EPA formally responding to GE whenever practical.

EPA will not formally respond to GE prior to 30 days of the date of the documents. Therefore, if you have any suggestions or comments, please provide them to EPA at R1Housatonic@epa.gov by the date shown below. In addition, all Rest of River SOW Correspondence is available: https://semspub.epa.gov/src/collection/01/SC35333
