EPA's Region 9 Office is located in the Hawthorne Plaza; this region covers Nevada, California, Arizona, Hawaii, the Pacific Islands and 148 Tribal Nations.

Sustainable Features

  • The 75 Hawthorne building received the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED® Gold for Building Operations and Maintenance (version 2009) certification in February 2020.
  • EPA also renovated its office space and achieved LEED Platinum for Interior Design and Construction (version 2009) certification in November 2016.
  • The building has received the ENERGY STAR® annually since 2008, most recently in 2023 with a score of 94.
  • The facility has a Level 2 zero-emission vehicle charging station that can charge up to two vehicles at a time.
