Proposed Permitting Actions and Public Comment Opportunities 

• LOC-NESS Martha's Vineyard Study Tentative Research Permit No. EPA-HQ-MPRSA-2024-001 (Formerly "LOC-NESS Phase 1")

  •  Application was withdrawn.

• LOC-NESS Wilkinson Basin Study Tentative Research Permit No. EPA-HQ-MPRSA-2024-002 (Formerly "LOC-NESS Phase 2")

  • COMMENT PERIOD OPEN UNTIL 11:59 pm ET on February 14, 2025: The EPA is requesting public comment period on additional information and proposed updates to the LOC-NESS Wilkinson Basin Study.  

  • Public Listening Session on February 5, 2024 at 6:00pm EST: The EPA is hosting a virtual public listening session to collect comments on the proposed updates to the LOC-NESS Wilkinson Basin Study. More information and registration link.

At this time, no MPRSA permits have been issued for mCDR activities.
