Summary

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Mid-Atlantic Region (EPA), has issued a final permit to Seneca Resources Company, LLC of Cranberry Township, PA. This permit authorizes the operation of one (1) Class II-D disposal injection well, #38268, located in the SRC Kane Field, in Highland Township, Elk County, Pennsylvania. Federal UIC Program Permit Appeal Procedures are specified at 40 C.F.R. § 124.19. For your convenience, the Region has attached a summary of the Appeal Procedures in this Public Notice.  The period for filing a petition for review of this permit begins on the day after EPA served notice of the issuance of the permit by email, which was January 14, 2025.
