Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Training Module about Statutory Overview

*** NOTE ***

This module was last updated in 2000 so it has not been updated to reflect regulatory changes that have been made since then. Though this is still a useful resource, it is not intended to serve as a comprehensive source of regulatory information. For recent regulatory information, visit our hazardous waste website.

This training module presents a brief overview of RCRA. After it, you will have an understanding of the content and format of the law. Specifically, you will be able to:

  • Explain the relationship between RCRA statutory language and codified regulatory language
  • Describe the major components of each subtitle
  • Identify the major provisions established by the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments (HSWA)

Access other training modules that provide overviews of other specific RCRA regulatory topics here.
