2023-07-27: Community Representation Initiative Kickoff and Scoping Meeting
EPA, in collaboration with the Navy and the Defense Logistics Agency, is hosting a meeting on July 27, 2023 to share more information about formation of the Community Representation Initiative, and to receive input from participants on key components they wish to see incorporated into the group. We will share examples of how other community representation groups have been formed and discuss options that might work for the Red Hill Community Representation Initiative.
The main objective of the meeting is to gain a deeper understanding of the preferences and perspectives members of the public have regarding the establishment of the Red Hill Community Representation Initiative. We will gather ideas and opinions to ensure that the group is created in a way that truly reflects the needs of the community. During this meeting, we will ask participants:
- How they would like the nomination and selection process for the Community Representation Initiative to be accomplished,
- Who should be represented in the 10-person group, and
- What the group priorities should be.
