Public access to peer-reviewed, scientific research publications and research data is a major component of realizing EPA’s mission and embodying the principle of transparency. EPA is required to provide public access to peer-reviewed scholarly publications and the digital data underlying the publications resulting from EPA-funded scientific research, including extramural research. EPA has a longstanding commitment to make the results of EPA-funded research available to the public.
