    • EPA Investing Over $43 Million in New Funding to Protect and Restore San Francisco Bay and Its Watersheds

EPA Region 9 established the San Francisco Bay Program Office in 2024, with an annual budget of approximately $54M. The new office has 11 Program Priorities to advance projects that protect and restore San Francisco Bay. The San Francisco Bay Program Office will continue to oversee ongoing projects and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding under the San Francisco Bay Water Quality Improvement Fund (SFBWQIF).
