| Eligible Activities | Planning, developing, and establishing capacity to implement environmental protection programs administered by EPA and implementation of solid and hazardous waste programs. Specific activities may include defining and developing administrative and legal infrastructures; conducting assessments, monitoring, planning and other actions; fostering compliance with federal environmental statutes by developing appropriate Tribal environmental programs, ordinances and services; and establishing the capacity to meaningfully participate in authorized environmental program implementation activities of federal, state, local and other Tribal governments. |

Applicant must meet eligibility requirements in Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations in section 35.502, including, for an intertribal consortium, adequate documentation that all GAP-eligible member Tribes authorize the consortium to apply for and receive the award. |
