On December 2, 2024, EPA released the draft risk evaluation for 1,3-butadiene and related documents for public comment and peer review. The documents are posted in docket EPA-HQ-OPPT-2024-0425 and are available for public comment until February 3, 2025. Follow the online instructions for submitting comments. EPA will use feedback from the SACC and public to inform the final risk evaluation.

EPA will be soliciting comments from the reviewers on the approach and methodologies used in the draft risk evaluation. The SACC’s peer review will inform the Agency’s final risk evaluation under TSCA.
