Justice40 Wetland Program Development Grants Workshops
The U.S. EPA Enhancing State and Tribal Wetland Program (ESTP) conducted a series of five workshops starting from April 4 till June 6, 2023 to foster outreach on the Justice40 Initiative and to discuss possible updates to the Core Elements Framework (CEF) and the Wetland Program Development Grants (WPDGs).
This series is for those interested in learning more about Justice40 and EPA’s WPDGs.
Tribal Only
Workshop 1: Introduction to Justice40 and the Wetland Program Development Grants: EJScreen and CEJST Tools.
Learn about Justice40, including the background, definition, tools, and metrics. Hear about updates to the WPDGs and the Core Elements Framework (CEF). Learn about EPA's EJScreen and the Council on Environmental Quality's Climate and Economic Justice Screen Tool (CEJST) and how these tools can be used to support WPDG projects.
Workshop 2: Benefits Methodology and Metrics.
Review the current methodology being used to demonstrate benefits and discuss other proposed methods and metrics that may be used in WPDG grant reporting under the Justice40 Initiative.
Workshop 3: Core Element Framework (CEF) Activities and Outcomes Supporting J40.
Review and discuss the potential types of activities that can be provided through the CEF for developing Wetland Program Plans and WPDG projects.
Workshop 4: Communicating Accomplishments.
Discuss other potential CEF updates to advance state, tribal, and territorial wetland programs and how EPA can support technical transfer and communicate accomplishments.
