FY 2023 Availability of Supplemental Funds for Eligible Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund Grants

EPA is announcing the availability of an estimated $60 million in Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funds to supplement eligible Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) grants. Eligible cooperative agreement recipients (CARs) who may request supplemental funds are those that have an open Brownfields RLF grant that was awarded competitively under Section 104(k)(3) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) or that have transitioned to Section 104(k)(3) of CERCLA, and meet other identified criteria (see links below). EPA expects that supplemental funding awarded to existing CARs will advance President Biden's Justice40 Initiative. EPA will award this funding in accordance with the Administration's Justice40 Initiative, which aims to deliver at least 40 percent of the benefits of certain Federal government programs to disadvantaged communities. 

The deadline to submit a request is March 17, 2023.
