Online ACRES Training Schedule for Brownfields Grantees

EPA regularly offers two online training courses to aid Brownfields Cooperative Agreement Recipients in reporting their grant-funded activities using ACRES. Additional trainings specific to particular Cooperative Agreement types may be added on an as-needed basis.

Getting Started

For Assessment, RLF, Cleanup, and Section 128(a) Recipients just starting to use ACRES, this training will provide instruction on the process for submitting your property data and demonstrate how to use the tools and functions in ACRES. Approximately 60 minutes.

The Next Level

For Assessment, RLF, Cleanup, and Section 128(a) Recipients that are familiar with using ACRES, this training will provide instruction on how to make ACRES work for you and your property scenarios, and the answers to some commonly asked questions. Approximately 60 minutes.

Special Training Dates

Individual trainings may occasionally be offered for specific grant recipient types.  These trainings focus on the different reporting nuances that vary by grant and will be recorded and posted on our website:

1. Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Program Income Reporting 

This training is for RLF Grant recipients and project officers. Consultants for grant recipients may attend as well. Team ACRES will walk through the following: 

  • Open RLF Grants 
    • How to enter program income data in ACRES quarterly 
  • Post-Closeout RLF Grants
    • Review of latest version of the Sample Post-Closeout Report dated August 26, 2024
    • How to enter post-closeout program income data in ACRES annually

2. Using the NEW Multipurpose Quarterly Report Template 

This training is for Multipurpose Grant recipients and project officers. Consultants for grant recipients may attend as well. Team ACRES will walk through the newly released Multipurpose Quarterly Report Template, which is based on similar reporting structure used for other grant types in ACRES.

3. Using the NEW Program Activity Levels (PALs) Report Template

 This training is for State and Tribal Response Program Grant recipients and project officers. Consultants for grant recipients may attend as well. Team ACRES will walk through the revised PALs Report Template. The new template has been streamlined to better meet the needs of both grant recipients and project officers.
