EPA Letter on Strategic Biofuels’ "Practical Guide to Forestry Feedstock under the Renewable Fuel Standard"
Under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service, Strategic Biofuels LLC authored and published in September 2024 a document entitled, Practical Guide to Forestry Feedstock Under the Renewable Fuel Standard. In developing the document, Strategic Biofuels sought and received input from the EPA, the USFS, and related industry stakeholders. The EPA is issuing this letter and, including as an enclosure, excerpts from the document issued by Strategic Biofuels, after coordination with Strategic Biofuels, to provide information to parties who are interested in or are planning to use forestry feedstocks to produce renewable fuels under the RFS program.
