EPA Cleanups: GE-Pittsfield/Housatonic River Site

  • Upcoming Public Meeting on Reach 6 RD/RA

    EPA has scheduled a virtual public meeting on the Reach 6 (Woods Pond area) Remedial Design/Remedial Action (RD/RA) at the GE-Pittsfield/Housatonic River Superfund Site for Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM on Zoom. 

  • The Challenge

    EPA is happy to announce that the Reducing Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) Concentrations and/or Toxicity in Soil and Sediment at the GE-Pittsfield/Housatonic River Site Challenge (the "Challenge") is live. The Challenge is being managed by Wazoku, a national contractor that assists with administering Challenges for a variety of entities, including the Federal Government. Learn more about the objective of the Challenge, and the criteria and process for submitting a proposal is provided.
