Community, Equity & Resiliency Engagement Opportunities

EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) and Office of Environmental Justice & External Civil Rights (OEJECR) are collaborating to provide information, facilitate community-driven partnerships, and engage with communities across the nation around prominent EPA Inflation Reduction Act grants and other new Investing in America funding opportunities. This two-phased initiative begins with the Virtual Open House and is followed by the in-person Regional Roadshow events. These events provide spaces for communities, community-based partners, and potential grant applicants to learn, connect, dream and cultivate ideas on how these EPA funding opportunities can create meaningful environmental and climate justice improvements in their community.

Virtual Open House

The national Virtual Open House kickstarts community-driven conversations on Inflation Reduction Act and other new Investing in America funding opportunities to move forward environmental justice priorities. Through educational content, panel discussions, and fireside chats, the Virtual Open House aims to connect potential grant applicants with resources on these funding opportunities to help them create change in their communities.

Regional Roadshow

The Regional Roadshow will consist of community-based in-person events beginning in Winter 2023-2024. These events are designed to provide opportunities for potential grant applicants and community leaders to explore appropriate Inflation Reduction Act and other new Investing in America funding opportunities and develop or leverage existing community-based partnerships.
