Virtual Open House

Overview

EPA Logo with blue and green image and Community, Equity & Resiliency Buliding Environmental and Climate Justice through Engagement

The national Virtual Open House, held November 6 - 14, 2023 was the first phase of the Community, Equity & Resiliency initiative. This Virtual Open House provides space for community partners and potential grant applicants to learn about the Inflation Reduction Act and other Investing in America programs and talk about how community-driven partnerships can take advantage of multiple funding opportunities to inspire meaningful positive change in their communities.

The Panels and Fireside Chats cover topics including air pollution in schools, technical assistance, youth, green jobs, rural communities, and more. These virtual events provide opportunities for communities, including potential grant applicants, to learn from their peers. Recordings and slide presentations will be added to each session as they are prepared.

Panels

EPA hosted a series of panels, 60-minute discussions engaging multiple experts and environmental  and climate justice leaders, featuring ideas to overcome community challenges such as environmental pollution and climate change challenges through the Inflation Reduction Act and other new Investing in America programs. Topics include electric vehicle infrastructure, community-driven change, youth and the climate crisis, and more.
